My first booklet, Massillon Roc, was difficult to publish, but it did finally come out, and from it I slowly reached my second one, Clermina Rhénal. My next self-published work was Miragoâne, the town where I was conceived. Here they were! My first three steps into the world of poetry. Later on, Maya Dossier came out, pushing me even further into the known world of poetry, with an acknowledgement of the Mexican Consulate of New York City. Soon after, Fame came out, a blending of all my previous works, but what kind of Brooklynite would I be if I didn't pay my respects to my beautiful borough, and so came Beautiful Brooklyn!
One could see my steps becoming greater, firmer, and my confidence stepping into that world grew: the world of poetry.
Red Lead Press in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, published my first book, 7 by Carl Roc, and it placed me on the plateau of published poets. A year later, 8 'apeiron' came out, "a classic" as described by one of my best friends, but we had to move on, my works and I. We did with the next set of poems, 9 'entelechy': the quintessence of my poetic works! I always state to everyone that I cannot take credit for my works. They have used me to bring their messages across, those entities of the parallel world. The poet has always been a chosen one, the bridge between here and there, humanity and God.
10 'the crown', as the great Gershom Scholem wrote: "He is the Cause of causes... He is the Fire that burns fire...,' must either be the accomplishment of all my works or the principle from which all that is comes.
