The hard case detective is at his best in solving all his cases. A sheriff’s detective, Joe Hall, happens to walk by and sees an attack on a woman, but he is too far away to catch the mugger. Detective Hall rushes to the woman’s side to assist her, but it is too late. With her last breath of life, she whispers, “MA-MA MOON.”

EL Rocky Rochester was born in Oberlin, Louisiana. He was an oil field worker from 1955 to 1962 and a carpenter millwright pile driver, from which he retired in 1992. Mr. Rochester is also the author of Shadow Riders, Anchor II and A Speck of Rust, The Mist, The Devil’s Hate, and Dusty Riders.
