by Carl Roc

At the age of fifteen, my poetry was simply a cry to love and be loved. Timid and feeling rejected by so many, books became my best friends and pencils my accomplices. Today my poetry and I have reached a very different stage of life. Age helps us distinguish between the absurdities of life and the poignant force of death. We, homosapiens, crawl and crawl, not knowing why or toward what. We had to create a reason or reasons, while Mother Nature, in her infernal silence, moves ever forward.
