About the Author

Virginia Nicholas Clarke was born in Worcester, MA, in 1930. She graduated from Clark University in 1951 and from the Radcliffe Management Training Program in 1953. She is married to Dr. Frank H. Clarke, who retired following a career in medicinal research. They have two children and three grandchildren. They have lived in New York City and Armonk, NY, and since 1985 in Tewksbury, NJ. The author is an avid reader and bridge player.
