by A. Ronald Peterson
The 1950s were exciting times for the Roberts family, and especially for Courtnay Roberts, familiarly known as Baa Baa. Follow Baa Baa’s career from his school days at Fatima College in Trinidad, to his questionable marriage, his move to Diego Martin, then to Paramin, and finally to the sister island of Tobago.
Baa Baa’s flair for big words and infectious personality are instrumental as he negotiates his circuitous journey through the stages of life, from farm worker to “candy man,” to the pinnacle of his exciting yet humble life—winning a Presidential Award.
In Baa Baa Black Sheep, A. Ronald Peterson draws from local folklore, creating vivid scenes and colorful characters to enhance this delightful narrative.
