The Boy with the Wooden Hand

This book is simply about children being children and how they communicate with each other, how they view each other's differences as it pertains to someone's physical disability, as well as a mental state of mind. Children have the capacity to learn new things and how to dream, dream the things that adults may not see or understand. Children can also learn how to express and feel pain with a curious viewpoint. This is what this story is about, so please enjoy.

My name is Todd E. Reid. As a young child, I was very sickly. I was one of three other siblings, so I learned early in my childhood to be strong mentally. I spent a lot of my time dreaming and imagining the impossible. My grandmother always called me Toddy; she is now deceased.

I was fortunate to have served fifteen years as a police officer in Washington, D.C. What a great profession (I'm retired now). Currently I am a school bus driver, transporting special-needs children every day-yes, I am driving them to be the very best they can be.
