by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh
The book comprises two full-length plays: “The Doctor’s Patients” and “The Collector.” Both plays contain Caribbean expressions and dialect. The first play provides humorous glimpses into the political consciousness and social life of a West Indian island. Views of the country’s citizens reveal their divisions and desires. The second play depicts the serious efforts of an individual in promoting Caribbean unity. This is achieved by visits to various West Indian countries and interacting with persons from all levels of society.
