The Color of White
by Ekaterina Dimitrova Bojilova

These poems were written over a period of time of approximately two years, almost invariably in cases of difficulty and sadness. They portray loneliness, longing, and feelings for loved ones-emotions to which I hope every reader can relate. To me these emotions are colored in white.

My poems are tiny fragments of my perception of the world, and I wish each of my readers arranges them in their own way, reacting to the whole as an individual. In this way, the intention of the book will be fulfilled.

About the Author

Although a Bulgarian national, I was born in Mogadishou, Somalia, where my father was stationed as a diplomat. I have also lived in Vietnam and India. My studies in early adulthood and later on led me to the United States, and I am currently living with my husband in Belgium.

I have enjoyed the written word ever since I remember, and I am also a pianist at the collegiate level, although admittedly a very rusty one. Although my chief occupation is that of a graduate student in science, writing is a necessity I cannot do without.
