by Vanessa L. Jones
Cracked, Broken, Shattered Vessel of Honor…Book 6: There has to be a better way! is the sixth book in a series. Vanessa is once again in debt. Her account is once again overdrawn. She had once again co-signed for a loved one only to find out that person couldn't keep up with the payments. She is beginning to feel like she will never be a vessel of honor. She can't even get her finances in order. She seems to continually make unwise financial decisions. How can she compare with the Proverbs 31 virtuous woman? This woman had it together. She had her finances in order. She was a praying woman. She took care of her household. How could God ever use Vanessa to minister to anyone when she was facing so many struggles herself?
Once again she was asking herself, "What makes someone a vessel of honor? A virtuous woman? Does she need to cross every 'T' and dot every 'I' before she can be used by God?" Someone had told her that she would teach others how to be good financial stewards. Yeah right!
Why would God allow her to go through the things that she was going through? Maybe it wasn't God. Maybe it was just Vanessa. Sometimes she is so confused. But as she yields to God, she begins to see herself being painted on the canvas of life. The blurry areas became clearer. She was being made into a vessel of honor! It was nothing but the power of God. It was nothing short of a miracle!
She let go and let God in. After all, He had a plan for her life. God would take her further than she ever thought possible.
If we knew what all we had to go through at the beginning, many would choose to walk away. But we have to walk through some things in order to be perfected, changed, and transformed into the image of Christ. It's a process!
What will I have to go through to be a vessel of honor?
