No stranger to death, Colonel Tom Cassidy is on his way home from the Gulf after a long tour of duty with the MEF. With plans to spend some well deserved time off to visit with his old friend, Owen Kelly, Cassidy heads for Tuscon. Unfortunately, death has other plans for Cassidy.
When Kelly is murdered, Cassidy is determined to bring justice to his old friend any way necessary even if that means becoming entangled in the corrupt web of Boston politics.

Born and raised in South Boston, Massachusetts, the son of a Boston Police patrolman, J.P. Rogers has worked for the City of Boston for over thirty years. In his spare time, J.P. penned Dark Friends inspired by the many stories of his friends who had served in Vietnam and Kuwait. He still resides in the Boston area near his daughter and her family.
J.P. is currently working on a second novel.
