by Joseph J. Registrato

How far will a man go to save his granddaughter’s life? Could a career cop turn into a career criminal to save her from a life of drugs, abuse, and chaos? A Death in the Family is a gripping account of one family’s struggle with drugs, child abuse, and an imperfect criminal justice system, and it delves into a recurring problem in contemporary American families: how people who once loved each other can become the most passionate of enemies. It is also a story of survival, how the tenacity of the human spirit can overcome overwhelming odds, and how desperation can drive a man to do things he never thought possible.
