A resident of Windsor Locks, Connecticut, Tammy Jean Voorhies is a devoted mother of three boys who lives out her passions as a writer and artist. She has been published in five books for her poetry including The Best Poems and Poets of 2004 through the International Library of Poetry.
She has a strong Christian faith and desires to give her audience a participatory role allowing for a creative interaction with her art. Not a mere narrative or text message, the reader is allowed to transcend the passive role of reader into an active partaker, grasping how the work evolves into the layers of meaning and expression as a unique and powerful story unfolds.
