ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The world found Marcus Maurice Johnson Jr. on October 2, 1981, in the rural surroundings of Palmyra and Charlottesville, Virginia, but he found himself between there and the concrete jungle of Atlanta, Georgia, and its suburbs. Marcus has expressed himself on the stage of spoken-word forums from the State University of West Georgia to Clark Atlanta University. He has also been heard at the open-mic readings of Java Delight in Decatur, Georgia and Atlanta’s Apache Café. For the past few years, Marcus has been in corporate America; however, he is pursuing a career in education. He and his wife currently reside in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
