Twelve-year-old Phoebe hasn’t had it easy. Her new aunt and cousins are mean to her, and her grandmother won’t tell her what happened to her parents. When she slips into the attic one day to get away from her family, she decides to look for some answers. She isn’t expecting to find adventure, magic, or more mysteries.
Then, through a strange little door, Phoebe discovers a place where fairytale characters are real people and fairies carefully guard their stories. But did Phoebe find the door by accident, or was she meant to be there all along?

J.M. Richards has loved fairytales since she was a child and currently owns over a dozen fairy and folktale collections. She graduated from College of the Ozarks (Point Lookout, Missouri) with a BA in Philosophy and Religion, and currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with her family and two cats, Pip and Phoebe.
