by William Estabrook
Finding a story entails a solitary journey inward, in response to an insistent urge that will not otherwise be stilled. One enters a world of the imagination in which people can be found who do not actually exist but who might. The interplay with these phantasms brings its own excitement and its own reward. Herein we offer a record of such wanderings in the hope that the reader will find them in some measure engaging.
