A decorated veteran who served from the Vietnam war until his retirement after the Persian Gulf War, Dr. Ridlon has seen and experienced health care throughout the world., serving in many types of health-care facilities in many countries. His knowledge and experience are extensive. During his first tour in Germany, Dr. Ridlon met and married his wife, Marianne. Together they have four children. After retiring from the military, John and Marianne continue to live in San Antonio, Texas, where he is a professor of health care at a local college.
