by Geoffrey Andrew Smith
Geoffrey Andrew Smith’s first attempt at sharing his writing and relating his lifetime experiences is introduced to us in If the Heart Could Speak, a collection of poetry reflecting Smith’s innermost thoughts and feelings during a particular time in his life. Although each poem bears significant meaning, the author has dedicated a selection to his late aunt and his grandmothers, and he has also honored our soldiers in Iraq in another selection.
If the Heart Could Speak is a canvas, painted for the world to see, which portrays the author’s creative mind envisioning a picture with words that only a true poet could depict.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Geoffrey Andrew Smith was born and raised in El Segundo, California, a unique community by the ocean, which is surrounded by industry and the Los Angeles Airport. Because of its small-town atmosphere, this is truly the epitome of a “Mayberry RFD” located in the midst of Los Angeles County. Smith is approaching his twenty-seventh birthday, and his dream has been to publish a selection of his most meaningful poems. If the Heart Could Speak is a work of art, enchanting people of all ages.
