ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ms. Bland’s parents and grandparents instilled good morals, values, and a spiritual outlook in her life. Linda is a native of Macon, Georgia. She has an older brother, and she has many other special family members whom she adores. She has an eight-year-old daughter, who is her inspiration.
Linda is a social services case manager. She has two college degrees and is working presently on her doctorate in the area of Higher Education Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. Her specialty of study will be in administration, teaching, and/or career guidance counseling.
Linda has been writing poetry only since January 2001. Linda has received an Honorable Mention Award from Cader Publishing, Ltd., for the poem, “My Inspiration,” and the 2001 President’s Award for Literary Excellence from the National Authors Registry. Her poem, “My Faith, My Belief,” was published in Journeys by Iliad Press. The poem entitled “Another Day” was published in the Bahiyah Woman Magazine (website is http://bwmmag.com). Linda’s future plans include becoming an acclaimed author. Linda states, “I really enjoy writing about inspiring others in their time of need.” Her website is www.lwbland.com.
