by Anita Marie Shirk

This book could be viewed as a continuation of God’s Manna to Me. It continues to speak to the need of (wo)man to fulfill that deep longing in one’s heart to reunite to the Creator.

Some of the poetry is humorous. Some of it is reflective. Some of it is remembering those things in the past like a life review. Some of it is totally Christian. Some of it is not so much so.

It is the hope of the author that one or more poems will blend into the crevices of the reader’s heart to salve the wounds that Life in general has placed there. The poem “St. Joseph” speaks to this healing.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Anita Marie Shirk is a new poet. She has written one other book, God’s Manna to Me. Anita lives in a rural area in a small town that she says is conducive to writing. It has lots of incentives with all the nature around and particularly her garden in the summer. Her best buddy these days is Pepi, her Bishon Frise.

She feels that her writing, especially the poetry, is a testimony to God’s footprints in her life, bearing her up when the storms of life intrude. She would, by way of her writing, like to share her faith in God with others.

Anita is married and has a grown son. Family is very important to her, as it is to many in the rural community where she lives.
