Eighteen-year-old Patricia Alexander is trying to find herself. She can never stay single, so every second she has a different man to make herself feel better. Finally she pushes her male attraction to the extent of dating her best friend’s boyfriend behind her best friend’s back. In a long stretch of yellow-painted hallway consisting of blue lockers and brown classroom doors, roamers walk the halls on all four floors, one from every classroom. This school, Patterson High School, was the most hated high school in the Patterson district because of their excellence in sports and ailments in grades. At 12:20 p.m., Brian Jones waltzes down the hallway at ease out of his English class, strolling the halls one floor at a time. Patricia, his secret stalker yet the most attractive girl in the entire high school, sees him promenading the halls right past her classroom, and she exits out the back door of her trigonometry room to follow him on down the hall. While Patricia traces his steps from floor to floor, trying to lure him into a corner, the two finally reach the basement floor, where Patricia can release her inner emotions to Brian. As she sneaks up on his right side, grabbing his right arm, she throws him into the wall and says….

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

T. Staph is a native of Charm City, Maryland, and still resides in the Baltimore area. She is about to graduate from Overlea High School, on June 5, 2007, with a diploma and a certificate of completion from the Academy of Finance, a magnet program at Overlea High School that helps excel students who are interested in pursing a major in accounting or business in college. This is one of many books to come from T. Staph, although this is not her first publication. She has been published in many anthologies and won many awards for her award-winning poem, “Reality.” Currently she is working on an upcoming book, If I Were an African Princess, to be published in June of 2008. She is also in process of writing a self-help book called Open Your Eyes.
