A Knock at the Door

Ashleigh is so excited. She just found out today that she is pregnant. She can’t wait for her husband, Steve, to get home so she can tell him the news. She knows he’ll be thrilled.
It is storming outside. The weather is worse than Ashleigh can ever remember. She is worried about Steve. She calls him, and he assures her that he’ll be home soon. All she can do is wait patiently for him to get home.
The hours pass, and he still isn’t there. The weather is getting worse. She tries calling him several times on his cell phone but can never get through. After a while, she drifts off to sleep on the couch. She is awakened by a knock at the door. She prays that it is Steve and that he’d forgotten his key again as he had so many times in the past.
It isn’t Steve. It is a policeman. He tells her there has been a terrible accident, and Steve’s car went off a bridge and they are still searching the river for his body.
The years pass, and Ashleigh goes on with her life. She has a wonderful son, and she eventually falls in love again. A few days before her wedding, there is a knock at the door. This is a knock that will change her life once again….

Angel Oliver is happily married with four children. She lives in a small town in Georgia. She has a great desire to write books. A Knock at the Door is her first book she has written, and she is extremely excited about sharing it with others.
