Limits and horizons
by Vlad Neagoe

Vlad Neagoe's poetry is a very strange but happy mix of haiku, automatic dictée, inspiration, and meta-poetry. The lines contain their own comments as if a hand wrote the image and the other added the hidden meaning between lines, between words.

Out of haiku, Vlad Neagoe takes over the construction of the abridged image with the line in Japanese stamp where a bird freezes in the air having only half a wing, the mountain at horizon is airy as a cloud with no consistency, and the tree seems rather a bonsai. His language vacillates between the aulic diction and colloqiality into a powerful expressive load whose purpose is the re-semantization of the word.

Limits and horizons is a book of reference. These are poems rich with image and intelligence, flooded with a heightened sensory awareness and a strong power of rhythm, music, and sound in language.
