With the help of his friends, Kirk Sampson faces circumstances and odds that seem insurmountable. Will his fists be enough?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Orphaned in 1944 at the age of six, Victor Bennett spent his formative years at Mount Cashel Orphanage. After nine years, an undereducated fifteen-year-old was released into an alien world. Luckily his physical strength enabled him to work as a lumberjack and a sailor. In 1958, an auto accident confined Bennett to a wheelchair. A rehabilitation counselor and consultant, Dr. Bennett lectured in psychology at the University. At the age of sixty-seven, he completed his first novel Newfie Slugger. Another novel and an autobiography await publication.
