Now That It's Over: Healing Rhymes

This collection of poetry reflects my feelings as I walked through the journey of a broken heart and the end of a long-term marriage. My hope is that by reading it, someone else might learn, as I did, that through the window of pain comes the sunlight.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I am a designer, a writer, and a passionate creative. I work mainly with fabric and love working with my hands. I enjoy the entire creative process from beginning to end. I have always kept a journal and considered putting to paper the details of my life, renewing and oftentimes humorous. I started writing poetry on June 26 of 2003, when my life was changed forever.
Without any investigation on my part, I discovered that my husband of 26 years was unfaithful and had been since the beginning of our marriage. The pain of the betrayal was so intense that I turned my eyes to God and asked for a way to get through what was to be a long journey with dignity and grace. I consider my poetry a gift given to me, as the world as I knew it was melting away. My passion for writing poetry became a tool for healing, and as I have healed, my work has expanded to include many other topics.
This collection of poetry details how it felt to walk through the end of a long marriage. I know many people go through this, and my hope is that these poems will help them know they are not alone.
My life, my work, and my friends continue to add to my joy of living and are a neverending source of material for my poetry.
When I’m not writing poetry, I love to cook, garden, and take long walks with my dedicated friends, Samantha and Jack. I live in California with the people I love.
