On September 11, 2001, something terrible happened: the New York Trade Center was bombed by terrorists and thousands of people were killed. This triggered a war, not only against terrorists. Also strong attempts were made to rid Saddam Hussein from his seat, to rid Iraq of its nuclear bombs, and to set the people of Iraq free. There has been much talk, many frowns, and many sad tears because of this incident, this disaster. One of the main reasons for writing this book of touching poems, filled with straightforward words of truth, is to assist in the recovery from what has happened and what continues today. Since childhood, Terry West has enjoyed making something out of nothing. Doing arts and crafts eventually centered on liberal arts. She started writing in her teen years by putting together poems and arranging essays on various persons and subjects. This talent later widened when she began to write her opinions about various situations that arose in life. Writing is a talent with which God has blessed Terry West for a purpose. She intends to write until her hands are incapable of holding a pen.
