One Brown Penny and a Mighty Big God

Poetry and writing short stories comes easy to Nina, and this particular story was an awakening from God in the midst of a sleepless night. It was so profound that she had to get up and write until four A.M., knowing that she had to go to work. She could not stop writing, and it just flowed. Why the brown penny? She had no idea, until it dawned on her that she had been worried about food. Just like always, she cried out, “Lord have mercy.” And as always, he did because she was able to count out twenty dollars in pennies and go to the grocery store. Her close and personal relationship with God has seen her through hard times before, and he would never leave her now.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nina was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She is employed at Osceola Regional Medical Center and has been a physical therapy technician for the past twenty plus years. She is the mother of two sons, Cory and J.D., and the grandmother of one beautiful little girl, Iyanna.
She has always loved to write, and it is her favorite pastime. Her church and community are very aware of her talents; when called upon she writes poetic pieces for all occasions. She is now branching out for the rest of the world to know her works and the gift that God has given her.
