Original Verses was begun about 1998, when I put my desire to write to work on my first computer. I wrote greeting card verses in a very personal manner and made my own cards, using my Hallmark software. These verses were sent to all of my family members, all of my husband’s family members, and all of my personal friends. Every verse was copyrighted. My work was completed on October 26, 2007, when I wrote an elegy to be read at my husband’s funeral service. This book is proudly dedicated to my loving late husband, Walter L. Miller.
About the AuthorBetty Mary Kratz, born in 1921, was raised in Audubon, Pennsylvania. Her family moved into town in 1936, and she graduated from Norristown High in 1939. She spent one year at Beaver College in Jenkintown. Betty went to work for Pennsylvania Bell in 1940. In 1942 she became Mrs. Betty K. Moyer and birthed two beautiful children: Rod and Barbara. In 1957 Betty returned to work for Mountain Bell after moving to Arizona. Divorced in 1969, she married again in 1971, becoming Mrs. Betty K. Miller. Betty’s first computer sparked her lifelong interest in writing, and a book was born.
