This is a book of poetry written from my heart to yours. The poems are about friends, experiences, family, Sunday school lessons, love, trust, and even people I don’t know. I hope everyone who reads them will find themselves in them as well. May the love of God bless you richly as you laugh, cry, and enjoy these poems!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Vanessa is a humble person who had not realized the gift that was within her. She thought everyone could just sit down and write a poem. She didn’t think it was a big deal to compose a poem out of nothing!
Even in high school, her English teacher told her that her poems were too simple, yet her high school yearbook was composed of poetry under many of the pictures!
It was her uncle who told her to begin to save the poems. She used to just write them for a church program or holidays and then throw them away. Vanessa wants to thank Uncle Ernest for telling her to keep the poems as well as encouraging her to continue to write!
She encourages everyone to begin to use the gifts inside of them. Is there something you do that seems so easy to you but yet others say it is not that easy? It is probably a gift! Can you draw whatever you see? Sing whatever you hear? Memorize whatever someone says? Check it out! It is probably your gift — or gifts!
