by Serge Charles Frechette
This is a selection of poems inspired by moods, nature, seasons, and people. It is steeped in an American theme of places, life, love, and dreams. It is a journey into a world of fantasy and faith, of philosophical thoughts or simply funny tales. There are themes on Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and Valentine’s Day. The journey just begins here.
• Inspired by American and British poets.
• Dedicated to my wife, Nina, and my daughter, Leanne, who supported and encouraged this work.
May this book bring you comfort, laughter, and inspiration.
“Words are my wind.”
“Like a skipping stone over a clear pond.”
“The sleeping poet who never really sleeps.”
God Bless America.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born and educated in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My parents had Canadian Catholic roots from the early French settlers’ time in 1667. I was influenced at an early age by literature (English and French), poetry, music (guitar), and drawing.
I attended Dawson College, Montreal Beaux Art, and Montreal I.T. I have had a long career with Cn Railways. I have met people from all walks of life.
I reside in Kirkland, Quebec, with my wife. We have two adult children. We also have two dogs (my faithful friends) and a blind quarter horse my wife still rides. I now write, paint, read, and explore all seasons.
