The Road of Life

Shortly after my father died in the summer of 1997, my mother showed me a compilation of poetry he had written during the course of his life. I loved each and every poem, but it was my love of “The Road of Life” that inspired me to combine his poetry and mine. I wrote a poem called “The Journey Home” only weeks after he passed away, and I felt a real connection between it and my father’s poem. They are meant to be together.
I believe I was destined to compile this book for you, Dad. I love you.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born just outside Glasgow, Scotland, in September 1974, Claire is the youngest child of deceased co-author Hugh Mulligan. Claire was his “fatty baba,” and she idolised him and his creative influence.
Claire works in the finance industry, but her true passion is putting pen to paper and continuing to write poetry for her father, her family, and all who share the joy of verse.
