About the AuthorTeaira Jackson was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Michael Jackson (the author of It's Gonna Be Alright) and Joann Kilgore (a very strong woman). Teaira didn't know she was blessed with the gift of writing until she was twenty-two years old. At that time, she learned of her talent and began writing poetry, which will always be her first love. One day her mother discussed with her that she should try writing a children's book. That's when Teaira sat down one afternoon to start writing her first children's book, Shylow's Revenge.
