A Tear in the Sky

This collection presents poetry at its finest. From the exquisite beauty of prose poems like "Homeless" or "A New Dawn" to the deep feeling of "A Special Person" or "My Mother," the reader will constantly discover astounding images. William Pitt is an Austrian-Australian, born in Vienna with an insatiable curiosity and wanderlust. It took him to many parts of the globe until he settled in Sydney and made Australia his home.

Although English is his second language, he has worked as a journalist and an editor of a magazine. He has written for the stage, radio, and television (for a programme teaching English, amongst others).

He has written two collections of poetry, "The Mirror of Words" and "War Games" (also including short stories). His novella "Alone" was published in 2008. "A Tear in the Sky" is his latest collection of poetry and prose.
