by Dr. Alan Blain Cunningham
Messages are an important form of communication—spoken and unspoken. Delayed messages, such as those delivered by e-mail, can sometimes cause misunderstanding and confusion. E-mail users can selectively choose when and what to respond to—thereby creating more unspoken messages. Two individuals can interpret the exact same message differently.
In this book, messages, mostly unspoken from e-mails, are sent between two well educated, successful, forty-seven-year-old men. One married, the other single. One a newspaper columnist, the other a veterinarian. One conservative and grounded, the other liberal and uncertain.
The setting and context, however, are universal.
