When the stunning Julie Sands, who is dating a married industrialist from Connecticut, is forcefully compelled to leave her Manhattan apartment by an old flame, New York City Detective Scott Thomas is hired by her debonair sister Alicia to find her and bring her back home.
During his investigations, Scott encounters a well-known uptown crime lord who is also looking for Julie. This causes him to enlist the help of his long-time friend Kojo Shabaszz, who uses former CIA contacts to help find her.
After rescuing Julie from a cocaine addicted boyfriend and securing her protection from the crime lord, Scott is about to enjoy the company of the vivacious Kamona Estime, with whom he fell in love with at first site. Instead, he is hired by the crime lord to find his daughter who was kidnapped by a Mexican gang hired by the Russian mob.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jerr’ was born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and raised in the Oak Grove section of Graysburg, which is located across the river in Northampton County. He has lived in New York City for the past thirty years where is known as a poet, and lyricist. He has published two collections: Talking Drums and When the Crier Cries. Jerr’ is also an active community activist and freelance reporter who has written numerous newspaper articles addressing the concerns of his community.
As a businessman, Jerr’ has started, helped to start, or consulted on numerous businesses specializing in retail, janitorial services, industrial manufacturing, inventions, health, import/export, and non-profit organizations. He also teaches Tai Chi classes to the elderly and has traveled extensively around the world.
Jerr’ was selected as one of the best poets of 2000 by the International Library of Poetry, and he has won numerous Poet Choice Awards.
