WAR CHILD’S LOVE SONG

In my seventies the rhyme started to flow - one of the puzzles of my life, for most poetry had bored me. The chosen compact form allows the reader easy insight into WWII, a war almost forgotten, since many "little wars" were fought since.

WWII becomes the backdrop to a love story that connects two worlds, born in a kiss, my first, his last, now the bridge from here to the "other dimension".

In dreams I have returned to past lives. I have been "over there" in the realm of the departed, and they have visited me here. God has allowed me wondrous insights into rare phenomena.

I was born in Aachen, Germany, famed for its beautiful cathedral, dating to the times of Charlemagne. Aix la Chappelle suffered greatly during WWII; the air war robbed me of almost everything. I live now in Indiana with my husband, Phil, a former computer expert.

I write poetry in English and German, having covered WWII in German rhyme and full length as well. I cover only my own observations made in the turbulent times of war. I suffer from a painful, incurable condition, can only type with my right hand, and therefore use caps only.
