by Pauline D. Choquette

Pauline D. Choquette decided on the title The Way We Are for this book because she truly believes many poems were written about the way we are, the things that are important to us, and the way we love.

Our actions in life reflect the way we live and how we feel about others. Take the time to see beyond outward appearances. Try to understand that there is a source and a power much higher that controls our lives.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I was born in Watertown, Massachusetts. I have four siblings, including a twin brother. I have been married to my husband, Raymond, for over forty years. I have five wonderful children and eleven beautiful grandchildren. I reside in a little town in Massachusetts called East Brookfield. My hobbies include knitting, crocheting, and my newfound hobby, writing poetry.

My first poem was about my newly adopted granddaughter. Friends and family encouraged me to continue writing. Only with God's help and inspiration am I able to write. God gives me the thoughts and ideas from the things that are around me as I live my life.
