by L. R. Roles
A serial killer is on the loose, roaming from city to city always leaving a white emperor tulip in his victims’ blood.
“The police, incompetent fools, they’ll never catch us,” Dr. Jay Jones laughs. Seeing in his mind’s eye a woman capable of destroying his way of life. Her features are unclear, yet he will know her.
Racheal White, experiencing life for the first time, is being haunted by images of a ruby-and-diamond encrusted knife coming ever closer to her throat. The knife, dripping in blood, doesn’t scare her nearly as much as reliving the hanging of an 1800s cavalry soldier.
Deciding to consult a doctor, she inadvertently chooses Dr. Jay Jones.
